Selected scientific achievements
1. Conducted research revealed the creative potential of compositional evolution and demonstrated the process likely explaining protein-complex evolution.
2. Developed and optimized novel method of isolation and cross-infection of cytoplasmic viruses.
3. Completed studies on yeast killer system enabled to address questions related to interference competition and coevolution, and provided the knowledge valuable for application in the fermentation industry, and in the development of novel antimycotics.

1. Investigator of the project “Evolutionary gear shifting in a bacterial nano motor” of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO/OCW; Zwaartekracht programme), 2015-2017.
2. Coordinator of the international project “Role of anti-competitor toxins in the origin and maintenance of diversity in structured microbial populations” of the Grant from Foundation for Polish Science, 2010-2014.
