The Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences  (IGAB PAS)  in  Jastrzębiec n/Warsaw is seeking for scientists with expertise and hands-on experience ingenetics, biotechnology, animal sciences and/or health sciences.

 

Candidates applying for the position should meet the following criteria:

1. Degree of habilitated doctor in animal, life or health sciences, biotechnology or related sciences (with the exception indicated in Chapter 8, Art. 89. 1. Acts on the Polish Academy of Sciences of 30 April 2010 (Journal of Laws No. 96 item 619) ); the requirement does not apply to persons who have obtained a doctoral degree in a foreign unit, provided that they meet all the requirements contained in the Regulations for employment for the position of an institute professor or professor.
2. Have specific research interests supported by:

• scientific achievements including original creative works, in particular publications in journals awarded by Journal Citation Reports;

• high values of scientific indicators: Hirsch index and the number of citations;

3. Have documented experience in the adequate scope of research, including genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, animal sciences and/or health sciences;
4. Direct or participate (in the past or currently) in a research project financed from external sources;
5. Have experience and the ability to lead / be a research team leader;
6. To complete a scientific internship abroad;
7. Identify yourself with organizational (organization of scientific conferences) and didactic achievements (e.g. to be a doctoral supervisor or to supervise doctoral students)
8. Actively participate in the scientific and organizational life of the scientific community.

As an Assistant Researcher in the IGAB PAS, you will: 

1. A review and compilation of the literature on issues related to current work and experiments in the laboratory;

3. Conducting nutritional experiments on animal models
4. Planning and performing laboratory analyses;
5. Supervision of the technical efficiency of laboratory equipment

Requirements:

1. PhD degree in either: Biology, Biotechnology,Chemistry, Animal Science, Agriculture, Health Sciences or related discipline.
2. Have extensive knowledge of the selected area with documented experience in laboratory techniques, e.g. work with cell lines, immunochemical analyses, molecular analyses using PCR methods and working with biological material, knowledge of analytical methods used in the biochemical laboratory.
3. Publications from the JCR list - (minimum 3 papers if 1 year or less has elapsed since obtaining the doctoral degree). The candidate's achievements will be assessed by the Scientific Staff Development Committee
4. Fluent written and spoken English.

As a Researcher in the IGAB PAS, you will: 

1. be responsible for the planning and experimental design of all research activities associated with your project role.
2. laboratory work, including experiments on cell lines, gene expression analysis
3. statistical analysis of the obtained results
4. supervision of doctoral students
5. preparation of annual reports and the final report of the projects
6. preparation of data for ordering reagents, materials and small equipment for public tenders

Requirements:

1. PhD degree in either: Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Health Science or related discipline.

Have extensive knowledge of the selected area with documented experience in laboratory techniques, e.g. work with cell lines, microscopic and immunochemical analyses, basics of molecular biology, molecular analyses using ddPCR and qPCR methods, conducting experiments in epigenetics research and work with animals - mice, knowledge of physiological and behavioral methods.
3. Publications from the JCR list - (minimum 3 papers if 1 year or less has elapsed since obtaining the doctoral degree). The candidate's achievements will be assessed by the Scientific Staff Development Committee
4. Fluent written and spoken English.

(Journal of Laws), item 1668, the Statute of the IGiBZ PAN, and the Regulations of Competition Procedure in Employment for Scientific Position in the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences of 2 March 2020.

The Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences  (IGAB PAS)  in  Jastrzębiec n/Warsaw is seeking for scientists with expertise and hands-on experience in biotechnology, biology, animal science or related discipline

 

As a Researcher in the IGAB PAS, you will: 

1. be responsible for the planning and experimental design of all research activities associated with your project role.
2. laboratory work, including experiments on cell lines, gene expression analysis
3. statistical analysis of the obtained results
4. supervision of doctoral students
5. preparation of annual reports and the final report of the projects
6. preparation of data for ordering reagents, materials and small equipment for public tenders
7. analysis of the scientific literature
8. preparation of publication
9. development of new research ideas

 

Requirements:

1. PhD degree in either: Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Health Science or related discipline.
2. Have extensive knowledge of the selected area with documented experience in laboratory techniques, e.g. work with cell lines, microscopic and immunochemical analyses, basics of molecular biology, molecular analyses using ddPCR and qPCR methods, conducting experiments in epigenetics research and work with animals - mice, knowledge of physiological and behavioral methods.
3. Publications from the JCR list - (minimum 3 papers if 1 year or less has elapsed since obtaining the doctoral degree). The candidate's achievements will be assessed by the Scientific Staff Development Committee
4. Fluent written and spoken English.
5. Have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and statistical programs.
6. Demonstrate a very good ability to work in a team
7. Necessary condition: having a category B driving license and high mobility - the position involves delegations and business trips, moreover, the place of work is located approx. 25 km from Warsaw.
